Car Crash Requiring Complex Rescue - Seahampton

Published: 15 Jul 2020 06:00am

Just after 6am today, Fire and Rescue NSW crews were called to a car crash in Seahampton.

Fire crews arrived to find a hi-ace van had run up into the rear of a truck, causing the van to have major front-end damage, coming to rest on its side.

A 60 year old driver was severely trapped and it took almost two hours for Fire and Rescue NSW fire fighters to open the van up and rescue the driver.

The rescue was very complex and Lambton fire fighters used almost every hydraulic tool available to them.

Cameron Park Rural Fire Brigade provided assistance with fire protection.

NSW Police and NSW Ambulance were in attendance, with the Westpac Rescue Helicopter transporting the rescued occupant to hospital.
