Man Airlifted following Explosion - Silverdale

Just after 2:30 this afternoon Fire and Rescue NSW crews from Warragamba Fire Station were called to reports of an explosion at a property at Farnsworth Avenue, Silverdale.
On arrival, a male resident was found with significant burns. Fire crews commenced first aid prior to the arrival of NSW Ambulance paramedics.
After being stabilised the man was airlifted to hospital by a Careflight helicopter.
