Smash Repair Fire - Meadowbank

About 1:07pm on the 11 June 2020, fire crews from Rhodes 066 and Eastwood 059 were responded to a building fire at a Smash Repair Shop in Meadowbank.

On arrival, fire crews found workers had evacuated and smoke was issuing from the shop. Firies immediately conducted fire attack and prevented the fire from spreading. Further fire crews from Gladesville 023, Drummoyne 017, Rydalmere 065 and a ladder truck from Glebe 018 attended to assist.

Once the fire was extinguished crews identified the source being a exhaust flue inside the premises. The smoke was then ventilated and once deemed safe, workers were permitted to return.
