Dog Rescue - Blacktown

Published: 09 Jun 2020 07:13pm

A Fire and Rescue NSW firefighter never really knows how they’ll spend their day. In this case for the crew from Blacktown in addition to numerous other calls, it was to rescue Coco the Labrador.

Coco had fallen 3m down into a creek near Lalor Park, he was stuck and the water was freezing.

Blacktown firefighters soon arrived and used rope and other equipment to secure and raise Coco out of the creek.

However Coco wasn’t ready to walk, so the crew, lead by Station Officer Brad Hojel (back left) carried Coco home.
