Motel Fire - Dubbo

Published: 28 May 2020 06:33am

Dubbo firefighters were called to a fire on the 2nd level of a Cobra Street motel a little after 8pm on Thursday 28 May.
Quick thinking by the crews carrying out road works along Cobra street helped prevent the fire from spreading, until firefighters arrived.
No one was injured and 8 people were evacuated during the incident.
The fire was contained to the ceiling space, rooms below the fire suffered smoke and water damage.
We would like to take this opportunity to ask everyone to check their smoke alarms. Dial triple zero (000) in an emergency.
