Building Fire - Newcastle

A number Fire and Rescue NSW crews are currently responding to a large fire at a hotel on Wharf Rd, Newcastle.

Large plumes of smoke are currently issuing from the roof of the building. Initial reports suggest the fire started in the flue in the kitchen of the building.

Ten people have been evacuated from the building, NSW Ambulance are on scene.

Wharf Rd is currently closed and traffic is being diverted by NSW Police.
