Building Fire - Erskine Park

Just after 2:20pm, Fire and Rescue NSW were alerted to an automatic fire alarm on Quarry Road, Erskine Park, with reports of fire in a waste processing factory.

St Marys Fire Station arrived to confirm a fire in the structure and requested additional stations from across Western Sydney to attend.

Crews worked to attack the blaze both internally and externally for over two hours, utilising foam to assist in firefighting efforts as well as plant machinery to pull apart debris to find the origin of the fire.

Approximately fifty people on-site had self evacuated. NSW Police and NSW Ambulance were in attendance however no injuries were reported.
