Unit Fire - Campsie

Just after 1:30pm, Fire and Rescue NSW responded to a unit block on Second Avenue, Campsie after receiving multiple Triple Zero (000) calls reporting a unit fire.

Crews from Campsie, Ashfield, Lakemba and Revesby Fire Stations arrived on scene to find a large amount of smoke issuing from a first floor unit.

Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the blaze and were able to contain the fire to the unit of origin.

Initial reports suggest the fire started in the bedroom however investigations into the cause are continuing.

NSW Police and NSW Ambulance attended the incident, although no injuries have been reported.
