Quick work by firefighters prevented a fire from spreading throughout a complex of eight residential town houses at Kelso.Firefighters were called at 8.18 am this morning to a fire in a two storey terrace within a complex of eight terraces. Firefighters were quickly on scene and although the two level unit was extensively damaged they were successful in containing the fire and preventing it from spreading throughout the entire complex of eight town houses.
Twelve occupants escaped from the complex safely and the cause is currently under investigation. Firefighters from Kelso and Bathurst attended the incident.
