2/7/11 - House Fires plus a shop fire in Kurri Kurri

The dangers of the winter fire season continued throughout NSW today. Crews from FRNSW were involved in extinguishing house fires in Ambervale, Whalan, South Penrith, Kincumber, Coffs Harbour and Paxton. Fortunately, no lives were lost.In Kurri Kurri, a fire in a take away shop in Stanford St was fought by crews from Maitland, Abermain, Kurri Kurrri, East Maitland and Weston. The fire was extinguished by 2 hose lines, and the building sustained damage due to heat smoke and water.
