30/6/11 - House fire in Kurri Kuri

Just after midnight this morning, FRNSW crews responded to a house fire in Maitland St Kurri Kurri.First arriving crews sent a message for extra assistance, as the 15m x 15m house was well alight. Crews were hindered by the roof collapsing, and concentrated on extinguishing the fire and protective the exposure next door.
Crews responded from Kurri Kurri, Weston, Abermain, Maitland and East Maitland, and the incident was completed at 3.30am.
