28/6/11 - People trapped in car into townhouses

Fire crews from Blacktown and Regentville were responded to an MVA in Colless St Penrith at 10.45am today. On arrival crews found a 2 car MVA, with 1 car crashed into the entrance of a block of units, badly damaging the awning of the building.A Heavy Rescue vehicle was required to stabilise the awning with accro props, and the electricity company had to isolate the power to the area before rescue crews could release the patients from the vehicle.
1 male and 1 female were transported to hospital by ambulance personnel.
