15/06/11 - Fatal house fire at Campsie

A man has died in a boarding house fire in Claremont Street, Campsie this afternoon. Firefighters were called to the fire in the front room of the single level cottage where the body of a man was discovered. One other person escaped the building with minor smoke inhalation. The cause is being investigated.
Firefighters were called at 11.37am and were on scene within two minutes. The fire was contained to the front room extinguished within twenty minutes. Crews from Campsie, Burwood and Hursville attended the incident.
