Yesterday, Saturday 28 May was a busy day for firefighters across NSW.Fires caused damage to a ceiling in a house at Orange, a front room was destroyed in a house at Port Macquarie, a lounge room was damaged in a house at North Narrabeen, a kitchen was damaged by a fire caused by foodstuffs in a kitchen at Rose Bay, and a roof was damaged by fire in a house at Manly Vale.
A shop was totally destroyed by fire in a caravan park at Wee Waa and two adults and one child were transported to hospital as a result of a fire in a house at Maitland which damaged one room.
