01/05/11 - Two in hospital after stove fire

At about 7.00pm last night firefighters were called to smoke issuing from a block of units in Springfield Way, Delroy (Dubbo).

Firefighters discovered two people suffering the effects of smoke inhalation and quickly extinguished a fire involving foodstuffs left on a stove top. Two fire crews attended the incident and the two occupants were transported to hospital for further treatment.

Fire Commander Steve Knight warned residents not to leave cooking unattended on stoves.
