07/02/11 - Seven residential and thirteen car fires

Today, the NSWFB processed 728 reports of incidents across the state. Highlights include:

Fire and Rescue NSW crews responded to seven residential fires at Mortdale, Bellbird, Penshurst, Port Macquarie, Berry and Earlwood. Four of these fires were caused by incidents in kitchens.

Firefighters together with crews from the RFS attended and extinguished a bushfire at Red Rock.

Firefighters extinguished a fire on board a small boat at Gosford.

Fire crews attended fourteen gas leaks today including leaks at Raymond Terrace and at Wollongong Hospital.

Fire Rescue crews attended 24 motor vehicle incidents including Beverley Park and the M7. Firefighters responded to thirteen car fires across NSW today.

Firefighters attended two incidents involving snakes in houses.
