18/01/11 - Serious factory fire averted

Today, the NSWFB processed 519 reports of incidents across the state. Highlights include:A quick response by fire crews averted what could have developed into a serious incident when they were called to an electrical fire at the Allied Mills plant at West Tamworth. An electrical fire was quickly extinguished and contained to an electrical plant room. No injuries were reported.
Crews today also attended a domestic garage fire at Wickham, a kitchen fire at Point Claire and a shed fire at Tighes Hill.
Today Fire Rescue crews attended 38 motor vehicle incidents including a serious incident at Katoomba. Firefighters also performed a rescue at Kyle Bay.
