15/01/11 - Large Strathfield fire and four residential fires

Today, the NSWFB processed 511 reports of incidents across the state. Highlights include:Twenty firefighters from four brigades worked for several hours today to extinguish a fire in a vacant building on Parramatta Road at Strathfield. No injuries were reported.
Crews also extinguished a fire in a conveyor belt at Bluescope in Springhill.
A pop corn machine which ignited in a cinema complex at Ryde was quickly extinguished and crews also attended a small fire in a shop in Pitt Street, Sydney.
Today Fire Rescue officers attended four residential fires at Claymore and St Ives and including two kitchen fires at Auburn and Tighes Hill.
Several Hazmat incidents were attended including a large spill of diesel on a roadway at South Tamworth.
Today Fire Rescue crews attended 24 motor vehicle accidents including a car into a house at Arncliffe.
