Published: 8th January 2011

A house fire at Werrington was fought by 14 firefighters from surrounding stations, and was extinguished using 2 hose lines. 50% of the house was damaged by the fire. Later in the day, crews from Dee Why and Narrabean had an interesting rescue, when a hang glider came to grief on a cliff face at Warriewood. Crews were able to remove the patient to safety using rope lines and a "top belay", handing the patient over to ambulance personnel for treatment.
