29/11/10 - Two residential fires and small school fire.

Today, the NSWFB processed 525 reports of incidents across the state. Highlights include:

A relatively quiet day today with only two significant residential fires at St Mary's and Blackett. The Blackett fire was caused by foodstuffs left unattended on the stove, and was quickly contained by fire crews.

A rapid response by firefighters also contained a small fire in a classroom of a school at Figtree. The fire occurred before school had started and there were no evacuations required.

Fire Hazmat Officers attended several hazmat incidents across the state with the most significant being in Kent Street, Sydney and also at Greenacre.

Today Fire Rescue Officers responded to 34 motor vehicle accidents across NSW including incidents at Carlton and Wollongong.
