27/11/10 - Seven residential fires, three caused by cooking accidents, two injured.

Today, the NSWFB processed 962 reports of incidents across the state. Highlights include:

Firefighters were today called to seven residential fires. Cooking accidents accounted for three of these fires at Hornsby (one male to hospital), Bondi Beach (one male with burns treated on scene) and Bidwill.

A house was destroyed at Koorawatha and an abandoned house at Gosford was also destroyed. A house at Doonside suffered extensive damage and a unit at Telopea sustained minor fire damage.

Crews attended a minor electrical fire at a water filtration site at Bathurst.

Today Fire Rescue Officers responded to 40 motor vehicle accidents across NSW including serious incidents involving an overturned car and caravan on the F3 at Mt Colah, and further serious incidents at Castle Hill, Neath and Trangie.
