20/11/10 - Serious school fire, fatal car accident, two residential fires and a small aircraft fire

Today, the NSWFB processed 625 reports of incidents across the state. Highlights include:

Fire crews at Kempsey were kept busy with a suspicious fire at the Green Hill Primary School, Kempsey which destroyed one classroom and extensively damaged the remainder of a 20 x 12 metre building and its contents. Crews also attended a small building fire at Epping.

Fire Rescue Officers attended a fatal motor vehicle accident at Turramurra.

Firefighters attended a small residential fire at Pyrmont and a fire caused by foodstuffs left unattended on a stove at South Wentworthville.

Firefighters at Coffs Harbour extinguished a fire in the engine compartment of a small aircraft at Coffs Harbour airport. Firefighters also attended a gas leak at Wagga Wagga and an animal rescue at Barrack Heights.
