Shop fire at Terrigal

Firefighters from Terrigal responded to a reported bin alight just before 1am this morning. When they arrived however, the crew discovered there was a major fire in two shops and the residences above so they immediately requested assistance. Crews responded from Gosford, Saratoga, Bateau Bay, Wyoming and Berkeley Vale. The fire was threatening to spread to the surrounding shops and residences but the firefighters were able to prevent this. The fire took several hours to extinguish and required five hoselines to complete extinguishment.
