House fire at Forbes

Firefighters from Forbes responded to a house alight this morning. Upon arrival, they found that the house was already well alight and shortly after, burnt through an electrical wire which fell to the ground. The fire crews started attacking the fire with their hoselines while setting up an exclusion zone around the fallen wire until it could be rendered safe by Country Energy. The house was destroyed by the fire but the firefighters were successful in containing the fire and preventing its spread to the surrounding houses.
