Art for safety's sake!

Recently a meeting was held to launch the NSW Fire Brigades Art Competition at the Redfern Fire Station.Representatives of organisations within the local community attended who will form a selection panel to judge the winning art submissions that will form the mural on the wall of the station.
The selection panel will consist of a member from-
- Aboriginal Housing Co-Op
- Metropolitan Local Aboriginal Land Council
- Redfern Waterloo Authority
- Department of Education and Training
- City of Sydney Council
- TAFE Eora Centre
- Redfern Community Centre
- Aboriginal Medical Service
- NSW Fire Brigades.
Soon the selection panel will meet to determine the winners.
The mural will consist of 4 artworks combined together displaying their individual fire safety messages.
What will the finished mural will look like?
We will have to wait until the development application is submitted and approved and the intended launch of the mural that is due in September.
