Granny flat fire in Cabramatta

At 11.40 am crews from Cabramatta, Smithfield, Busby and Fairfield were responded to a garage alight in Deller Av West Cabramatta. First on scene was Cabramatta, who discovered that it was actually a garage that had been converted to a granny flat that was on fire. The roof of the flat was collapsing, and a LPG cylinder used for cooking was inside. Fire crews in Breathing Apparatus searched the flat, and found an elderly female resident who was deceased. The fire was extinguished using 3 hose lines.
