Boatshed fire in Woolwich, and caravan fire in Mittagong

Fire crews from Drummoyne, Lane Cove, Gladesville, Crows Nest plus the Ladder Platform from Crows Nest were called to a fire in a boat shed in Woolwich Rd Woolwich early this morning. The timber boatshed, 20m x 10m, belonged to Marist Sisters School Woolwich, and contained 50 small sailing boats. Fire crews had difficulty accessing the site, and final extinguishment was carried out by crews from the Ports Authority boat. The contents of the shed were totally destroyed by the fire. Elsewhere, a caravan fire in Albion Lane Mittagong, totally destroyed the caravan involved. It was extinguished by 1 line of hose and crews in Breathing Apparatus
