House fires in Ulladulla and Gilgandra

Coinciding with the NSWFB Winter Fire Safety Campaign, Firefighters were kept busy throughout the State today. A fire destroyed a kitchen in Mosman. In Ulladulla, a house was destroyed by fire, where tragically an elderly male lost his life. Elsewhere, in Gilgandra a house was 60% destroyed by fire. The fire, which spread to the roof, took over 2 hours to fully extinguish. As asbestos was involved, the scene was also a hazmat incident, and crews were in attendance for over 3 hours
