16 House fires throughout State over the weekend

Firefighters were kept busy over the weekend, attending 16 house fires. These fires varied from foodstuffs (unattended cooking), to houses totally destroyed by fire. Seven of the fires were in the Sydney area. Throughout the State there were fires in Kurri Kurri, Wagga Wagga, Queanbeyan, Dubbo, Lavington, Bowral, Bathurst, Lithgow, Cessnock, Leura, Hillston and Mt Riverview
