House fires in Kew and West Tamworth

Firefighters attended 2 separate house fires at Kew and West Tamworth. At 7.22 pm firefighters arrived at a single story house at Kew, which was engulfed by fire and extinguished by NSWFB crews and the RFS. In West Tamworth at 9.38 pm, crews attended a fire in a house, and were in attendance for almost 2 hours. The fire was extinguished, with severe damage to 1 bedroom and its contents. Elsewhere, crews attended 3 kitchen fires in Merrylands, Northmead and Newcastle.
