Castle Hill - Old school building damaged by fire

Fire extensively damaged an old school building in Pennant St, Castle Hill early this morning. Firefighters from Castle Hill, Kellyville, Beecroft, Northmead, Seven Hills and Parramatta were called to the old Castle Hill Public School at around 12.45 am. The crew from Castle Hill were on scene within seven minutes and reported that the fire had taken hold of the two levelled building. It took crews three hours to contain and extinguish the fire. The cause is currently being investigated.
