House fires at Galston and Bringelly

Two houses sustained extensive fire damage on Wednesday 10 March 2010. The first occurred at 12.45am in Francis Street Bringelly. Crews from both the NSWFB and the RFS worked for 2 hours to extinguish the fire which caused extensive damage to the building and contents. Two people were transported to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. The second fire occurred at 8.45pm in Bayfield Rd at Galston when a fire broke out in the roof area of a fibro cottage. The building and contents sustained substantial damage and one occupant was transported to hospital suffering smoke inhalation. Crews from the NSWFB and RFS worked for over an hour to extinguish the blaze. Both fires are currently under investigation.
