Airds - House destroyed by fire

A house in Croft Place, Airds was totally destroyed by fire at around 9.30am on Monday 8 March 2010. Fire crews from Campbelltown, Rosemeadow and St Andrews were responded to the call and arrived within seven minutes to discover that the fire was already well advanced. Fire Rescue Officers conducted a quick search of the smoke filled house to ensure no-one was still trapped inside and took half an hour to bring the fire under control and extinguish. The house and contents were destroyed by the blaze which is currently being investigated.
