House Fire at Balgownie

Fire rescue officers from Balgownie, Corrimal and Wollongong responded to a house fire at Brian St, Balgownie at 2:12 this morning. The first arriving crews were confronted with a severe fire at the front of the house and immediately started attacking it with hoses. The fire was quickly extinguished but the house still suffered extensive heat and smoke damage.
