Fire at Umina Beach

Fire rescue officers from Umina and Kariong responded to a house fire with persons trapped in Australia Avenue, Umina Beach, at 4:10pm this afternoon. Upon arrival, they discovered a flat at the rear of the house totally involved in fire. The flat was separated from the house and so, the fire had not spread to the house. The fire rescue officers were able to quickly extinguish the fire and a search revealed, fortunately, there was no one trapped inside.
