Cafe fire at Lismore

Fire rescue officers from Lismore and Goonellabah responded to a kitchen fire in Molesworth St, Lismore, at 06:07am on Monday, 22 February. Upon arrival, the crews encountered a severe fire in the kitchen of a cafe in Lismore Strand Arcade and quickly started attacking the fire. This quick attack was successful in preventing the fire from spreading to the surrounding shops and offices in the arcade. However, all of the other premises were affected by severe smoke logging and the fire rescue officers spent most of the day ventilating the other shops and offices.
