Townhouse fire - Blackett

Fire Rescue Officers from Mt Druitt, Dunheved and St Marys were called to a townhouse fire in Bolderwood Street, Blackett, at 8.18pm on Wednesday 30 December 2009. The Mt Druitt crew were quickly on scene within six and a half minutes and confirmed that the single level townhouse was on fire. Fire Rescue officers immediately entered the house wearing breathing equipment and confirmed that no-one was trapped inside. Crews were able to extinguish the fire within 15 minutes, however the townhouse and contents were extensively damaged. Investigations are currently proceeding.
