Rescue at Picton Rd, Wilton

Firefighters from Picton and Narellan responded to a car accident at Picton Rd, Wilton this evening. Upon arrival, they found people trapped in two cars as a result of a head on collision. After the people had been stabilised by ambulance personnel, the firefighters released the people who were then transported to hospital. Picton Rd was closed to allow the ambulance rescue helicopter to land and one of the patients was transported by helicopter. The local RFS crew attended the scene and provided fire protection while the rescue was being carried out and cleaned up the oil spill that resulted from the accident.
