Fire in a unit at Port Macquarie

Firefighters from Port Macquarie and Wauchope were called to a unit fire in Tasman Rd, Port Macquarie, this morning. Upon arrival, they found smoke issuing from a villa and a female resident being attended to by neighbours. The firefighters quickly attacked the fire with hoses and were able to confine it to a bedroom. They also provided first aid treatment to the resident until the arrival of the ambulance.
