Factory unit fire Homebush Bay

Early this afternoon firefighters from Concord, Silverwater, Lidcombe and Parramatta responded to numerous Triple Zero calls to a factory unit on fire in Burroway Rd, Homebush Bay. Firefighters arrived within ten minutes to find a factory unit well alight. Firefighters immediately upgraded the response. Firefighters from Rydalmere, Rhodes, a hazardous materials unit from Greenacre and Duty Commander Inner West responded to assist. The seat of the fire was quickly located by firefighters and the fire brought under control. Two employees were treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and transported to hospital by ambulance.
