House fire Claymore

Late this evening firefighters from St Andrews and Campbelltown were responded to a house fire in Gould Ave, Claymore. Firefighters arrived within seven minutes to find a house well alight. Firefighters from Rosemeadow were then responded to the fire to assist. Information was gathered that there maybe some people still in the house. Using a thermal imaging camera to assist with vision in heavy smoke conditions, the firefighters carried out a search of the house. The missing people were later found to be not at home. The fire was brought under control in a little over half an hour. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
