House fire in Hunters Hill

This afternoon firefighters from Gladesville, Drummoyne, Balmain, Lane Cove, Narrabeen and Glebe responded to a house fire Mount St, Hunters Hill. Crews arrived within six minutes to find a single-level weatherboard house 10m x 10m well alight. Firefighters were quick to confine the fire to the house and stop it spreading to adjoining houses. Due to the intense fire it took firefighters approximately 45 minutes to extinguish the fire. There were no injuries, and fire and police investigators are continuing to investigate the cause and origin of the fire.
