House fire in Wagga Wagga

Early this morning firefighters from Wagga Wagga and Turvey Park responded to a house fire in Tichborne Cr Wagga Wagga. Large volumes of smoke were visible on rout and firefighters arrived within nine minutes to find a single level cottage fully involved in fire. Firefighters commenced an aggressive fire attack and searched for any occupants. The fire was brought under control within thirty minutes and one occupant was treated for smoke inhalation by Ambulance officers on scene. The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
