Worker trapped in machinery

At midday today firefighters responded to reports of a worker trapped in machinery at a Camellia recycling plant. Ambulance paramedics stabilised the worker and then firefighters from Wentworthville, Parramatta and Eastwood began the arduous and protracted task of extricating the victim from the machinery. He is now recovering in hospital and Work Cover are investigating the accident. All emergency personnel worked extremely well under very difficult circumstances.
