Motor vehicle accident in Berala

Early this morning rescue firefighters from Bankstown, Hurstville and firefighters from Concord responded to a serious car accident on Kerrs Road, Berala. Crews were on scene in seven minutes to find a car had crashed into the rear of a semi trailer, trapping one person. A fire hose was set up to protect the trapped person in case of fire while the rescue firefighters extricated the person, who was taken to hospital.
