House Fire St Marys

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received this evening to a fire in a house in Maple Road, St Marys. Firefighters from St Marys, Dunheved, Mount Druitt, Cranebrook, and the Duty Commander responded to the fire. The first crews were on the scene in five minutes and found the single storey house well alight. Firefighters accounted for all of the occupants and commenced an attack on the fire. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus quickly contained and extinguished the fire. One occupant was taken to hospital. The house was severely damaged in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
