Shop Alight

Numerous Triple Zero (000) calls were received early this morning to a fire in a shop on Waterloo Ave, Greenacre. Firefighters from Bankstown, Lakemba, Lidcombe, Campsie, rescue fire-fighters from Burwood, an aerial fire truck from Revesby and the Duty Commander responded to the fire with the first crews on scene in seven minutes. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus contained and extinguished the fire. A thermal imaging camera was used to check for fire spread. There were no reported injuries. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
