This afternoon firefighters from Glebe, Redfern, Newtown, Alexandria and the Duty Commander responded to a building fire in Crystal Street, Petersham. Crews arrived to find smoke pouring from the rear of a block of units. Firefighters using breathing apparatus quickly contained the fire to the area of origin. After extinguishing the fire, firefighters ventilated the building, minimising further damage.
